Dr. Santanu Dutta

CO-CEO & CTO
 

Dr. Santanu Dutta is a veteran of the wireless industry with over 40 years of experience spanning satellites, cellular networks, HF radio, and mobile payments. He has held senior technology leadership roles at Ligado Networks, as Chief Engineer and Head of Technology Research; at Ericsson, where he led satellite and mobile-payments standardization efforts; and at Rockwell, contributing to military HF systems and Mobile Satellite Services (MSS).

 

He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manchester, M.SC from the University of Bradford and B.Tech (Hons) from IIT Kharagpur and is a named inventor in more than 75 patents. Dr. Dutta’s career bridges deep technical innovation and real-world implementation, with a lasting impact on both commercial and defense wireless technologies.

Raghu Das is a seasoned space technology entrepreneur with a proven track record of building and scaling breakthrough satellite ventures. He co-founded ProtoStar Limited, a Bermuda-based satellite operator later acquired by Intelsat and SES, and was also a co-founder of HeliosWire, an S- band Mobile Satellite Services (MSS) constellation acquired by EchoStar.

 

In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Raghu is a Partner at E2MC Ventures, a space-focused investment fund backing early-stage companies that are shaping the future of the space economy. His work spans strategic leadership, constellation development, and capital formation across the satellite and aerospace sectors.

Dr. Nils Rydbeck

Dr. Nils Rydbeck is the former Chief Technology Officer of Ericsson Mobile Phones and a visionary in the wireless industry. As the conceptual inventor of Bluetooth and the first head of research at Ericsson Mobile Phones, he played a foundational role in shaping modern mobile communications.

 

He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Lund University, Sweden, and an honorary doctorate (Ph.D. honoris causa) from the Blekinge Institute of Technology. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Gold Medal from the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, and is named on over 50 patents in wireless technology.

Dr. Jan Uddenfeldt

Dr. Jan Uddenfeldt is a renowned leader in mobile communications, having served as Global CTO and Senior Vice President at Ericsson, and later as CTO and SVP at Sony Mobile. A driving force behind the development and global adoption of GSM, 3G, and 4G technologies, he has played a central role in shaping the modern wireless landscape.

 

He earned his Ph.D. from the Royal Institute of Technology in 1978 and holds an honorary doctorate from Lund University. He has been inducted into the Wireless Hall of Fame and is widely recognized as a global standard-bearer for wireless innovation.
